Classes & Workshops FAQ's

Q: Are classes refundable?

A: Due to limited class spaces once you purchase a class it is only refundable under these conditions.

• Class is cancelled by Artisans Bonsai
• Medical emergency (doctors note is required)

One other option is if there is enough advanced notice to allow Artisans Bonsai to relist the class and sell it before class day, we will refund your money.

Q: Can I change the class date after I purchase class?

A: Due to limited slots available for each class date once you register for a class you must attend that class or pay an additional class fee to re-register for another class.

EXCEPTION: Additional class fees will be waived if Artisans Bonsai is given enough advance notice and is able to resell the class to a new student.

Q: Can I exchange the class I purchased for store credit?

A: No. Due to limited spaces all sales for classes & workshops are final.

Q: Can I sell the class to another student?

A: Yes but you must notify Artisans Bonsai in writing stating your name, the class date and the name, email & phone number of the new student.

Q: What do I need to bring to class?

A: All you need to bring is an open mind and the desire to learn. Tools, literature, pens & highlighters will be provided. Ladies might want to bring a sweater.

Q: Will there be any refreshments?

A: There will be drinks such as coffee, Coke Zero and Zephyrhills spring water but please feel free to bring you own if you wish. If you would like to bring something to eat, please feel free to do so. We have a refrigerator. 

Q: Can I bring my spouse/children to watch?

A: Due to limited space we do not allow additional people in the classroom.

Q: Do you speak Spanish?

A: No, sorry we do not. 

Q: What happens if I have to miss part of a class (part 1 or 2)?

A: If you have to miss 1 of the class days, we will allow you to make up that class only when we have an empty class slot.

Q: I have some bonsai trees already. Can I bring them to class?

A: If you have some trees already you can bring the on the second day of class. We will be happy to consult with you after the class about your material. For the class we will provide you with the tree used.

Q: Can I use my own tree in the class?

A: The class instructor will be able to make that decision. Based on how much work needs to be done to your tree. We have limited time and must be fair to all students. Trees that take a lot of work and advanced techniques take time away from other students.
